(AUSTIN, Tex.) — Mitchell Williams Attorney Rachael Padgett presented on a panel at the Texas Association of Health Plans (TAHP) Texas Covered Health Care Conference in Austin. During the Primary Care May Be the ‘Next Big Thing’ panel, she discussed the new models for primary care and how they can become the norm in Texas as well as legislative barriers that stand in the way.
Texas Covered is the largest event of its kind in Texas and brings together decision-makers from across the health care spectrum—from major health plans, providers and regulators, to legislators, journalists, academics and more.
Padgett is a partner and co-chair of the Mitchell Williams insurance regulatory group. She focuses her practice on helping both national and community-based health plans with their day-to-day regulatory and compliance needs, including license applications, product filings, implementation of new federal and state laws and regulations, innovative provider contracting and out-of-network reimbursement strategies, triennial and market conduct exams, and administrative proceedings.
